More Information...

We're very pleased to introduce you to our new place of business here in the heart of the Rossendale Valley just a few yards from Britains finest Textile museum. Helmshore Textile Museum has been making a name for themselves for several years now and has quickly become the destination for young and old alike interested in our textile heritage. What better location then to establish another interesting place where history comes alive in the form of fine antiques and collectibles in the historic surroundings of a beautifully restored cotton mill.

Albert Mill in Helmshore was build in 1861 at the height of the industrial revolution and provided work for several hundred people in this area. Here the manufacturers and workers produced fine and double superfine waste. twill sheets and shootings on 85 looms employing some 7000 spindles in the process. The mill was owned by James Barlow and Sons and was part of the some 13.000 looms in the area of Haslingden and Helmshore.
